August Patient Experience Champion

Leslie Skipper, RN - Nurse – Internal Medicine

Beyond Service

Leslie Skipper, RN

"I would like to nominate Leslie Skipper RN- triage nurse for the Internal Medicine clinic.  She is an amazing asset to our department. She manages triage calls for every single provider in the IM clinic, handles the majority of medication prior authorizations, manages our TCM phone calls, and covers patient calls, messages, refills constantly for staff that are out of the office.  She does all of this with a positive attitude and a smile on her face and in her voice. She is always willing to go above and beyond in every situation. For example, I received a wonderful phone call earlier from the Director of UMC microbiology regarding Leslie. She wanted us to know how wonderful and amazing Leslie is to work with.  She advised me Leslie always has such a positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to help the UMC lab relay critical test results to the providers. Often times Leslie will receive results that do not belong to IM and she works with the lab and researches the situations so the correct provider receives the correct results on the patients. She is quick, efficient, knowledgeable, and so pleasant to work with and they appreciate it tremendously."
