Patient Satisfaction Tip: We All Play a Part

Welcome to a new monthly column that will highlight the importance of patient satisfaction and provide tips to help improve our patient satisfaction ratings. This month’s focus is on why patient satisfaction is so important.

You have one of the most important jobs in the world. Yes, you – and everyone at Texas Tech Physicians. Our mission is to provide care that improves the health of the people we serve. This simple statement makes our jobs more important and more meaningful than most jobs.

So where does patient satisfaction fit into the equation? Patient satisfaction is a term we use to measure how well we accomplish our mission. Patient satisfaction encompasses the entire Texas Tech Physicians patient experience. It measures all of our abilities, not just providers and nurses, but also front desk staff, customer service representatives, janitors and many more.

If we all make patient satisfaction a priority, then our practice will thrive and we will truly show that we provide care that improves the health of the people we serve.

In the coming months, we’ll begin a series of patient satisfaction tips in Spirit 5—simple things that we can all do to improve the patient experience.
