ICD 10 Topic of TTUG’s Quarterly Meeting

Robert Teague, M.D., physician advisor at Dell Services Healthcare Consulting Group, addressed TTP physicians and the Texas Tech User Group (TTUG) June 20 regarding the importance of ICD 10 implementation and its impact on health care. Teague shared lessons from his extensive experience in in-patient and ambulatory clinical care and administrative leadership, health care technology and EHR design and implementation, and transformational program implementation.

Other Dell consultants spoke during TTUG’s quarterly meeting regarding the findings of their recent study of the ICD 10 implementation planning and training for TTP, UMC and PNS. The regional campuses joined via TechLink.

Sylvia Adamcik, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-I, of the TTP Business Office introduced the speakers.

“Dr. Teague’s talk was, I believe, very beneficial in helping our physicians see the importance of ICD 10 to the future of health care and the importance that documentation will have in ICD 10,” Admcik said.
