The executive leadership of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine Clinical Practice made a commitment in 2014 to continually develop our organization by developing us through a specific training program designed to train on the core competencies. It's no secret that staff development provides employees with valuable knowledge they need to perform their duties proficiently. But, just as the ripples of a pebble dropped into a pond radiate throughout the pond, so do the benefits of employee training extend to everyone in your organization. The knowledge, skills and abilities of an organization’s employees are among that organization’s most important assets.

The Patient Services specialists, nurses and leadership were required to attend six Power Hours for their discipline last year to meet these requirements. Below are the names of those that attained this challenge. Each individual received a certificate of accomplishment and a small gift from Natalie Bryant, Director of Practice Development.
