Sharma Prabhakar, M.D., was elected President of the Gandhi Medical College Global Alliance (GMCGA). GMCGA represents over 3,000 physician alumni from Gandhi Medical College, India, who are practicing in the United States and other countries outside India. Prabhakar was also awarded Distinguished Physician by the Telangana State Medical Alumni Association for his outstanding academic accomplishments. This annual award is given to a physician with a distinguished career and is selected from over 10,000 physicians.
