Christmas in July

Texas Tech Physicians has officially launched the Christmas in July Campaign! We’re excited to kick off this competition with a unified effort to end hunger on the South Plains. Each week we’ll bring Christmas cookies and hot chocolate to the department that brings the most pounds of food per FTE. The department that brings the most food per FTE overall for the event will win our grand prize breakfast! And, we’ll wrap up with a Christmas in July party from 1 to 4 p.m. July 25 in the ACB Courtyard and grassy areas west with games and treats to celebrate.

This year, we’re asking you to bring specific items each week to meet a few of the expressed needs of the food bank.

Week 1, July 7-11: Canned Fruit and VegetablesWeek 2, July 14-18: Canned Meats and Dried BeansWeek 3, July 21-25: Peanut Butter

Other suggested items: canned meals (spaghetti, chili, etc.), canned juices, evaporated milk

Please do not bring anything in a glass container or perishable, homemade or open items.

Drop off your canned food donations in your department’s box on the first floor walkway between the Medical Pavilion and TTUHSC.  Don’t be a scrooge! Get in the Christmas in July spirit with School of Medicine Dean Steven L. Berk, M.D., and your colleagues!
