New Practice Development Training Courses

Patient Services is offering new Practice Development training programs for current clinical personnel of Texas Tech Physicians and for the School of Medicine New Employee Orientation.

Practice Development is the central command post of this new training program. Natalie Bryant, M.A., director of Practice Development, is teaching the soft skills and SOM NEO. Also assisting with training within this program are the EHR Team, Nursing Services and Payor Provider/MPIP.

Class topics include:
  • Improving communication
  • Improving customer service
  • Developing effective listening skills
  • Press Ganey/CGCAHPS overview
  • Conflict management
  • Procedures for handling patient complaints
  • Responsibilities of the interviewer
  • Financial status classification changes
  • Centricity and Cerner training (all positions)
  • Super Supervisors: How to be Successful
