It is with great pleasure that we nominate James Huckabay for the Spirit 5 Spotlight segment for the Department of Pathology. Huckabay has been a histotech with TTP – Pathology for 17 years. No matter what the circumstances, Huckabay will always be seen with a smile on his face and has a kind word for everyone. He is an excellent example of what being a team member is all about as evidenced by the kind comments his coworkers have to say about him. Huckabay is known as the “Superman” of the department. Despite supervisory changes and job duty changes that affect his life work, his job performance never falters. He has taken on additional responsibility in recent months that, while benefiting him, also give the physician staff room to breathe. His calm demeanor is always helpful in stressful situations. We believe Huckabay should be recognized as the anchor he truly is in this department.
