SPIRIT Spotlight: Stephanie Humphrey, Sr. LVN, Surgery Department - Neurosurgery Division
November 5, 2013
Stephanie Humphrey, Sr. LVN, has been with surgery for a year and a half.
Humphrey exhibits the SPIRIT value of Patient First on a daily basis. Patients are
her number one concern and she always does what is best for them. As an employee in
the new division of neurosurgery, her innovation has assisted in creating a successful
operation for two new neurosurgeons. Working in a very delicate specialty, her respect
to the patients, co-workers, and her physicians is very valuable, and allows her to
ease delays in patient wait times.
Humphrey’s willingness to listen with respect and help with any question or concern
has created camaraderie between staff in different roles. For example, she once drove
a sick co-worker home from work to be sure the employee made it home safely and was
ok. Her attitude is uplifting, as she is always happy, pleasant and will do anything
for a patient, co-worker or a patient’s family.
