The School of Medicine will host its 30th Annual Pain Symposium this Friday through Sunday.
The conference, directed by Miles Day, M.D., professor and Pain Fellowship director,
will feature cutting-edge technology and internationally recognized faculty. Anesthesiologists,
pain specialists, general practitioners and other health care professionals will learn
current concepts in chronic and acute pain control. Emphasis will be placed on the
blending of scientific knowledge into clinical practice.
The event will give health care professionals specializing in pain treatment the opportunity
to hear various topics including the evolving use of ultrasound in interventional
pain management. Hands-on ultrasound and cadaver workshops will offer instruction
and experience in the latest pain management techniques.
The symposium is sponsored by the TTUHSC Department of Anesthesiology Division of
Pain Management, the Office of Continuing Medical Education and the Pain Center at
Grace Clinic.

The symposium will take place in the Academic Classroom Building.
