Lubbock-area residents of all ages are invited to attend the 2nd annual Cycle for Hope beginning at 9 a.m. Aug. 3 at the Southwest Cancer and Research
Center, 602 Indiana Ave.
Cycle for Hope is a 7-mile bicycle ride that tours the UMC Health System, TTUHSC and
Texas Tech campuses to promote fitness and community engagement.
In addition to the bike ride, there will be an awards ceremony, a special bike course
for children, and onsite vendors including Crusty’s Pizza and Bodyworks’ spider climber
and rock wall. A raffle for participants will be held between noon and 1 p.m.
Registration is $25 and includes a goodie bag and free bike repairs. Proceeds from
the event will benefit UMC Health System’s Celebrate Today Fund at the Southwest Cancer
and Research Center and Children’s Miracle Network.
