The recipients of the inaugural SPIRIT Awards were announced Friday afternoon at the Meat and Greet barbecue lunch. The awards recognized TTP employees who regularly demonstrate our SPIRIT values in their work.

• Service Excellence — Joe Juarez, patient services
• Patient First — April Ortega and Catherine Grissett, OB-GYN
• Integrity — Archie Brown, orthopaedics
• Respect — Virginia Galvan, dermatology
• Innovation — Paula Amaya, pediatrics
• Teamwork — Leandra Flores, pediatrics

Each winner received an exclusive Texas Tech Physicians SPIRIT jacket and $100. We’ll profile each winner in the coming weeks and share the nomination letters sent in by their co-workers.
