Ahnna Parker, R.N., MSN, CIC, director of Nursing and Infection Prevention and Control for Texas Tech Physicians of Lubbock, was named Surveyor of Record by The Joint Commission after completing new surveyor training, passing the Surveyor Certification Exam and conducting the required number of monitored surveys. Parker is a surveyor in the Ambulatory Care Accreditation Program. The Joint Commission is the largest and oldest accrediting agency surveying health care organizations. The Joint Commission’s mission is to continuously improve health care for the public, in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value.
