A letter submitted nominating Brown:
"I would like to nominate Archie Brown, Sr. LVN, for the SPIRIT value integrity. If Archie tells you something, you can take it to the bank. She is honorable, trustworthy and maintains high marks for her honesty. She will certainly tell you if she doesn’t agree with you, and will tell you why she doesn’t agree. She has no problem standing up for anyone if she believes they have been mistreated. She will also tell you that you are wrong if that is what she believes. Archie has a strong belief in God, and strives to live a good Christian life. She is an excellent example of what a nurse should be. She watches out for our patients, co-workers, physicians and clients. I guess you could say she is the “Mother Archie” in the orthopaedic department. Many of the residents and faculty that have left the department still keep in touch with her. Archie is a good conversationalist, but she is also a good listener. We all love her, and have a lot of respect for her."
