As both a calculator and EBM reference source, it can pull up many diagnostic tools and evidence-based information. Discipline-specific calculations appear as they do in other tools like Essential Evidence Plus. But each MDCalc decision-support tool--risk scores, algorithms, clinical equations, dosing guidelines, and more--has its own editor and EBM-supported info. The free information is at your fingertips in website or mobile app form. The tool is also partnered with the evidence-summary program The NNT. MDCalc may be more familiar to faculty and staff than it is librarians. However, it provides a great insight into the actual EBM process through a clinician's perspective.
