Research Week

Student Research Week is an interdisciplinary event organized every year by the students of Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. The main objective of Student Research Week is to showcase the research and build a platform for interaction. During the last few years, distinguished speakers have conducted seminars in a variety of exciting fields such as Prions, Stem Cell Research, Phage Therapy, Fertilization, Aging, Biofilms, Vaccine Development, and many more. Along with the seminar series, poster competition affords the opportunity for students to present research projects and discuss their findings and ideas from a number of biological research areas. Students from GSBS, each campus of the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, Texas Tech University, colleges from New Mexico, and other local colleges are able to participate in the poster competition, which provides a cash prize.
